7/20/23

After recently showing well at the Top Prospect Games in Milwaukee just over a week ago, Lueptow was back at The Rock and on the mound, where he put together a quality outing in a win for GTS. Lueptow navigated a challenging lineup with a fastball sitting 83-86 mph, maxing out at 87 mph multiple times. With that, he utilized a cutter and slider to draw weak contact and whiffs, completing his successful three-pitch arsenal. The right-hander continues to trend up in stock as he enters his senior season at Elkhorn.

12/02/22

Lueptow is built at a compact 5-foot-10, 185-pounds and has been a name who has created some buzz for himself after a productive year. During the summer we saw Lueptow at the Badger State Games where he thoroughly impressed as he twirled a dominant game while sitting in the low-80s and reached highs of 84 mph. He also has major confidence in a sharp, horizontal moving breaking ball that we have seen earn many swings and misses. Lueptow is a fierce competitor and he backs it up with true feel to pitch, making him an intriguing arm inside this junior class.

6/30/22

Lueptow  is built at a compact 5-foot-10, 170-pounds and was impressive for GTS in their only game of the day. Leuptow got the start and across his four innings of work he struck out six and allowed just one earned run. Throughout his outing, Leuptow consistently sat in the low 80’s with his fastball and also showed major confidence in sharp biting, horizontal type breaking ball that produced a ton of swings-and-misses.

3/19/22

At 5-foot-10, 170-pounds, Lueptow threw his fastball in the low-80s, reaching an 84 mph high, and also owned one of the highest in-zone rates for his fastball on the day, throwing it for strikes at a 66-percent clip. Lueptow’s curveball played at 73-76 mph with tight spin off an 11/5 axis, averaging 2,200+ RPM, while his changeup flashed late tumble off a similar plane to his fastball at 76-77 mph. Lueptow’s arm strength translated to the outfield as well, reaching an 87 mph max to home during his defensive workout, and was 87mph off the bat.
