7/30/18 - At OK Limited Series, Berg, a Jacksonville recruit, got the game started with a loud triple on the first pitch, and continued a big showing with a smoked line drive single to centerfield. Naturally strong throughout, Berg works uphill through the zone from the left side, and is balanced throughout with fast hands and some lag in the zone. Behind the plate he has a strong arm with carry on his throws to second base with developing footwork and transfer skills. The bat has continued to progress quickly, and he had some of the best at-bats of the day.

7/20/18 - Verbally committed to Jacksonville.

3/11/18 - Currently ranked No. 12 in Wisconsin’s Class of 2020. 5-foot-10, 175-pound, strong, lanky, left-handed hitting catcher. Offensively, balanced, open setup, short stride, maintains balance through contact. Pull approach, uphill barrel path, 81 mph exit velocity. Ran a 7.34 laser-timed 60. Defensively still raw mechanically behind the plate, but showed off advanced arm strength. Best pop was 1.94 on the bag, throws showed easy carry. Quick footwork getting out of the crouch, some cheat, two handed receiver. At the plate consistent hard contact, middle of the field line drive approach. One of the top profiles in the Wisconsin 2020 Class.

7/14/17 - 5-foot-10, 175-pound, athletically built, left-handed hitter. Was the designated hitter and hit in the two-hole in this game. Balanced, slightly open setup, short leg-lift timing trigger and maintains balance through contact. Controls the barrel, line-drive approach and uses the whole field. Lined a single to left field and also lined out to center field.
