Turned in the best pitching performance of the tournament thus far. The Wisconsin-Milwaukee commit was dominant on Friday night, tossing seven shutout innings against a tough ISA Stars Royal lineup and striking out fifteen. He ran his fastball up to 87 mph with run and was able to place it where he wanted to all game long. He featured a breaking ball that played between 68-70 mph that played slurve-like with the ability to drop for strikes and expand the zone. Frey also displayed a changeup, which sat at 75-77 mph that flashed arm side run and was thrown with fastball arm speed. His above-average three-pitch mix makes him one of the top pitching prospects in the Wisconsin 2020 class.

8/9/18 - 6-foot-1, 160-pound left-handed pitcher, loose wiry frame. Delivery works across body, smooth tempo, rotational type delivery. Easy arm action, high ¾ slot, long action. Fastball creates angle, run and sink to arm side, 80-81 mph. Curveball worked 68-71 mph, 1/7 shape. Changeup flashed fade action, 70-72 mph.

7/8/18 - 6-foot-1, 160-pound, athletically-built left-handed pitcher, projectable frame. Tall and fall delivery, repeatable, works with a quick tempo, gets the ball and goes, momentum carries down the mound, finishes upright. Loose, easy arm action out of a ¾ window. Fastball, run action, located low and outside, sat 80-82, touched 83. Curveball, sweeping action, 67-69, regularly back-doored right-handed hitters with. Relied primarily on fastball, keeping it low and outside, consistently at the knees, used curveball effectively when needed to. Struck out 10 and walked none over six shutout innings.

3/11/18 - 6-foot, 156-pound left-handed pitcher, lanky projectable frame, wide shouldered, loose live body. Works uptempo, in rhythm, slightly across body, keeps front side closed. Arm action is long, high ¾ slot, loose live arm, clean action, easy effort. Fastball runs to arm side, shows feel for zone, 79-81 mph. Curveball plays 1/7 with depth, sat 68-69 mph, ability to throw for strikes. Changeup has above average feel, arm side action, fastball arm speed, 68-70 mph.

10/28/17 - 5-foot-11, 150-pound left-handed pitcher with a wide shouldered frame. Works from a high ¾ arm angle with a loose, live arm action. Tall and fall delivery, uptempo delivery working in line with home plate. Fastball has running action at 76-79 mph. Curveball has 1-7 shape at 58-61 mph, cast at times. Showed feel for changeup throwing it for strikes at 62-65 mph, sinking action, maintains arm speed. 

8/22/17 - 5-foot-11, 150-pound left-handed pitcher, wiry long limbed frame. Tall and fall delivery, works slightly across body, long levers, heel/toe landing, square to target. Arm action is long and loose, quick arm, high ¾ slot. Fastball runs to arm side, pitched at 75-77 mph, touched 79 mph. Curveball has 1/7 shape, 63-65 mph, loose and aggressive arm action. Fastball arm action on changeup, 64-68 mph.
