Scaffido presents a balanced setup in the box, utilizing a toe tap to get into a position of launch with a smooth, effortless right-handed swing, staying consistently balanced throughout. Defensively, plays through the ball on the infield with a quick, easy arm action and a max infield velocity of 87 mph. On the mound, the right-handed arm showed a fastball up to 84 mph to go along with a pair of upper-60s-low-70s breaking balls. Athletic 5-foot-10, 155-pound frame with room for added strength. Launched a no-doubt home run to left in gameplay.

Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 70 in the state’s junior class, listed at an athletic and strong 6-foot, 165 pound frame with room to add. Scaffido got the ball to start on the mound for the Lasers and struck out four batters across four innings, reaching 85 mph with his fastball while showing a three pitch mix. After his outing, Scaffido was inserted into the middle infield, his natural position where he boasts a high ceiling on both sides. At the plate, the right-handed hitter went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a walk. The right-handed hitter takes a direct path to the baseball, staying inside the ball through contact, consistently impacting the baseball out front and driving the ball with leverage. Defensively in the infield, Scaffido is a natural defender with quality actions and sure hands to pair.

+ INF Sam Scaffido (Kettle Moraine, 2026) measured a strong and athletic 5-foot-11, 191 pounds with a well proportioned build. He started his day by running an impressive 6.83 60 yard dash time with quick burst. Scaffido showed some pop from a short and compact swing through the baseball driving balls to all fields throughout his round of batting practice and was up to 90 mph max exit velocity. On defense, the Junior middle infield was 88 mph across the infield from a compact and repeatable arm stroke while also displaying quality actions through the ball. Scaffido continues to be a name we like and are excited to see how he performs this spring and summer.
