Arnold stands 5-foot-11, 145-pounds with long levers and thin waist that should add some in the future. Tristan impresses with loose, easy, athletic delivery with a quick arm and a balanced finish. He has multiple pitches for strikes.  He can spot the fastball 83-84 mph to edges and can elevate with intent. Has a legitimate cut fastball 78-80 mph that he uses off the same spot of his well commanded fastball getting weak contact and swing and miss on the pitch. Has a two plane breaking slurve 72-73 mph with two-plane break and 10/4 shape. He works quickly and attacks hitters early and often with a confident and fearless presence on the mound.

 Athletic build with room to grow. Displays feel to pitch, has mound presence, loose, repeatable delivery with a whippy arm. Three-pitch mix featuring a fastball 80-86 that plays well up in the zone, a sharp breaking ball 71-74 with some sweep, and a changeup 75-76. Through 6.1 innings of work he collected eight strikeouts while only allowing four hits and one earned run.

Playing up a level for STiKS Academy 2022, RHP Tristan Arnold, entered the game out of the ‘pen in a bases-loaded situation and struck out the side. He’s a lanky, long-limbed 5-foot-10, 135-pound athlete with lively arm speed and plenty of physical projection attached to his frame. Arnold’s fastball sat at 80-83 mph and there’s unquestionably more velocity left to come. He also ripped off several tight-spun sliders for strikes; a pitch thrown with conviction that changes planes and could be a swing-and-miss pitch for him as he continues to mature. Arnold certainly popped as a follow name in the state’s junior class.
