Perry hit .368 in being named 2nd Team All-State as a junior. The two-way prospect also recorded 42 strikeouts in 31 innings on the mound with a 1.13 ERA.

10/21/16 Perry generated some buzz with his start for Kentucky Baseball Club. The Kentucky recruit started out at 93-94 before settling into the 88-91 range. He also mixed in a sharp slider in the low to mid 80s. The 5-foot-10, 165-pounder logged three innings and allowed three hits and a walk while striking out three.
