2/24/18 - Initiates swing from open set up with reverse toe tap and stride to neutral. Solis separation is achieved through working away from hands in weight shift. Hip turn is passive and there is length to swing. A bat exit velocity of 79 mph was recorded.

On the mound, works out of mid 3/4 arm slot with excellent balance and rhythm. Generates considerable arm speed from slight frame. Mechanically, there is intermittent tendency to step closed, thereby, blocking hip rotation and influencing command. FB sat 83-85 mph flashing consistent late run and sink. CB at 68-69 demonstrated 1-7/8 shape with at best late, sharp break. There was good feel for CH at 72-73 being thrown with good sell and late downward action. Overall athleticism, arm quickness and quality of secondary offerings make for interesting prospect and follow.

7/12/17 - 5-foot-9, 135-pound left handed pitcher.  Showed considerable arm quickness with FB sitting 80-82 and touching 85.  There was subsantial arm side run and sink to FB.  CB sat 63-66 with 10-8 shape and, at its best, late sharp break.  Slider was thrown at 68-71 mph with short, slow break.  Delivery was repeated and Hodges demonstrated ability to stay in line with good balance.  There was some front knee softness following foot plant resulting in elbow drop and difficulty staying on top/behind baseball.
