Comments
7/16/13 Schwertfeger emerged as a very recruitable prospect in the West Virginia Class of 2014. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound switch-hitter ran a 7.06 60-yard dash and topped all outfield arms at the event with throws of 88 mph. Schwertfeger took batting practice from both sides of the plate. He is naturally a left-handed hitter and is far more polished from that side of the plate. He utilized a slightly open stance and flat bat path through the zone to create a bat exit velocity of 81 mph as a lefty. He showcased the ability to barrel the baseball routinely and signs of some power potential from his dominant side.
