The Florida Preseason All State has quickly become the premier Preseason event in the state of Florida. Over the first two years there have been over 100 committed players in attendance and counting. This event is held for the top 2019s-2022s throughout the state to kick off the Prep Baseball Report's spring high school baseball coverage.

We will begin to spotlight each and every player in attendance. Today we take a look at the 147th ranked prospect in Florida's Class of 2020, OF/LHP Elijah Chun (Clay)

Scouting Report

08/15/18- A stock 5-foot-8, 175 pounds, Chun has a strong lower half. Defensively, he moves well, anticipates and has quality routes. Comes through the ball aggressively and has accurate throws with some carry. Offensively, he has an above average approach. Gap to gap hitter, he is balanced and used the strong lower half well. Had a really quality at-bat where he battled doff several tough pitches before getting a base hit. Aggressive, high motor player. On the mound, he worked from the stretch only. The delivery is simple and he repeats it well. Fastball worked 77-79 mph, while the curveball was 68-69 and changeup was 72 mph.

06/03/18- Uncommitted. Not the prototypical frame that immediately stands out on the diamond (5-foot-7, 150-pounds), Chun let his bat do the talking in game two of the day for Gatorball. The shorter, left-handed hitter hiit multiple balls hard including a loud, towering pull side foul ball. Barrel shows some lag in the zone, and shows confidence at the plate while working gap to gap.
