Doug Freeman
Florida Scouting Director

The Florida Preseason All State has quickly become the premier Preseason event in the state of Florida. Over the first two years there have been over 100 committed players in attendance and counting. This event is held for the top 2019s-2022s throughout the state to kick off the Prep Baseball Report's spring high school baseball coverage.

We will begin to spotlight each and every player in attendance. Today we take a look at the No 11 ranked 2021 in Florida, the Florida State recruit, Jackson Baumeister.

Scouting Report

10/20/18 - Florida State commit. Closed out 5 Star National’s win over the Royals Scout Team with six strikeouts in three innings. He allowed one unearned run on one hit. He was up to 91, but pitched mostly in the high 80s with plus life to his fastball.

03/30/18- Florida State recruit. Currently stands at 6-foot-3, 200 pounds with a tall, strong frame. Impressed during some relief work late in the game where he featured a fastball with run that mostly 86-87 mph, touching 89 along with a 71-72 mph curveball that displayed depth, throwing it for strikes. Ball jumps on hitters. Gets some extension out in front and works downhill. Young, talented arm with upside that will continue to be a high follow for his class as he continues to mature.
