The Florida Preseason All-State has quickly become the premier Preseason event in the state of Florida. Over the first two years there have been over 100 committed players in attendance and counting. This event is held for the top 2019s-2022s throughout the state to kick off the Prep Baseball Report's spring high school baseball coverage.

We will begin to spotlight each and every player in attendance. Today, we look at C Joaquin Monque (Cypress Bay, 2020). Currently ranked No. 85 in Florida, committted to Saint Leo shortly following the 2018 Florida Trials.

Scouting Report

07/14/18- Committed to St. Leo University shortly after the event. Currently stands at 6-foot, 185 pounds with a physical, athletic frame. Showed an above average arm behind the plate with pop times in the 1.92-2.06 range. The hands and feet work very well, he is flexible and has all of the tools to be an above average catcher. Offensively, he took one of the loudest rounds of BP. Works with rhythm and showed present pull power and can see having above average power in the future. There is upside both defensively and at the plate.
