PBR Georgia Player of the Week: LHP Cade Fisher & SS David Bishop

Phil Kerber
Georgia Scouting Director

We are past the halfway point of the season and the remarkable performances continue to pour in. LHP Cade Fisher (Northwest Whitfield; Florida) claims his second Pitcher of the Week award for his performance against Cedartown. Taking home his first ever Hitter of the Week honors is SS David Bishop (Fellowship Christian; TCU).

We were in attendance for Fisher's start against Cedartown. Fisher pitched a complete game shutout, allowing only three hits, while striking out 17 and walking none. The big southpaw worked his fastball up to 92 and threw his slider in any count. Fisher has had a dominant season and looks to be the heir to Carter Holton (Benedictine; Vanderbilt) as the state's top left-handed pitcher, both in ability and in box score filling performances.

Bishop made his presence known this week with his powerful bat. The TCU commit went 6-for-13 on the week with a 2B, 2 HR, 5 RBI, 7 R, 2 BB, 5 SB for Class 1A-Private No. 4 Paladins. Bishop's efforts helped Fellowship Christian go a perfect 4-0 last week with two games sweeps over Lakeview Academy and St. Francis.
