The Underclass Games took place on Tuesday, July 24 at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium on the campus of Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. The invite only event featured 90 underclass prospects – from around the state - complete the 60-yard dash, positional workouts, live batting practice, followed by three games. Here's a look at the numbers from Tuesday's event.

TOP 60 YARD DASH

There were 14 sub-7.10-second times recorded on Tuesday. Michael Latulas (Loreauville, 2020) clocked the quickest 60 yards of the event with a 6.69. Dontavius Johnson (South Plaquemine, 2020), Marcus Mott (Sam Houston, 2020), Jacob LaPrairie (St, Thomas More, 2020) and Codi Williams (St. Michael’s, 2021) followed suit, separated by slim margins.

TOP FASTBALL VELOCITY

Left-handed pitcher, Dustin Menard (New Iberia, 2020) topped the fastball leaderboard touching 89 mph on Tuesday. While Marcus Mott (Sam Houston, 2020), Devin DeSandro (ED White, 2020), and Luke McGibboney (Catholic(BR), 2020) each ran their fastballs up to 88 mph. An athletic left-hander, Brian Valigosky (Jesuit, 2020) showed pitchability with quality arm strength, as well, running his fastball up to 86 mph.

29 total 85+ exit velos were posted at Tuesday’s event. Southern Miss recruit, Matthew Bihm (Centreville Academy, 2020) registered 95 mph to lead the pack. Joel Tarrh (Fredericksburg Academy (VA), 2020) posted a 93 mph exit velo, while Darian Duhon (North Vermilion, 2020), Michael Latulas (Loreauville, 2020), Seth Jones (Woodward (GA), 2020), Brian Valigosky (Jesuit, 2020) and Tripp Haddad (Jesuit, 2020) all posted exit velos of 90+.

Davis Meche (Barbe, 2020) showed off arm strength on Tuesday, posting an event best 87 mph positional velocity from the infield. While John Blanchard (St. Thomas Aquinas, 2020), Donovan Hall (St. Michaels, 2020) and Jacob Tate (Lafayette, 2020) clocked 85 mph across the diamond.

Marcus Mott (Sam Houston, 2020), tops the leaderboard along with a positional velocity of 92 mph from the outfield. While Preston Ratliff (Northshore, 2020) showed off a strong arm with carry on throws with an 88 mph positional velo. Already making several leaderboard, Brian Valigosky (Jesuit, 2020) showed off big arm strength from the outfield as well, posting an 87 mph positional velocity.

Andrew Guidry (St. Thomas More, 2020) posted the top pop time of the event at 1.79. Matthew Lee (Catholic(BR), 2020) showed off an extremely quick release and clocked a 1.86-second pop time. While Jake Harvill (Evangel, 2020), Logan Doody (Northshore, 2020), and Benjamin David (Barbe, 2020) all showed quick releases with strong arms on Tuesday.
