Began in a balanced stance with a big load, then used a short stride before his swing. Displayed an uphill swing plane and above average bat speed, and he ended his swing with high finish. Gap to gap approach. He produced a position velocity of 72 mph during throw downs; had athletic footwork and soft hands. Behind the plate, displayed next-level catching ability by boasting a 1.93-2.00 pop time. Had a short compact arm action on his throws. In the 60-yard dash, he recorded a time of 7.2.
