2023 PBR Indiana Player of the Year: Max Clark

Indiana Scouting Staff

Prep Baseball Report is excited to announce its Indiana Player of the Year Award after the 2023 season generated some incredible individual moments and performances throughout the state. As the spring high school season comes to a close, Prep Baseball Report is excited to announce one player who emerged ahead of the competition at all levels. This player has been selected not only for their outstanding statistical numbers, but also for their overall effect on their high school program.

A projected first round draft pick this summer and No. 1 player in the country, the Vanderbilt recruit batted .646/.808/1.125 with nine doubles, five triples and six home runs while driving in 33 and scoring 45 runs. He also drew 52 walks, struck out just five times and stole 35 bases.

Clark's all-around performance, as well as the impact he has had on Franklin High School, has earned him back to back Prep Baseball Report Indiana Player of the Year honors.

Clark has been selected unanimously by the staff of Prep Baseball Report of Indiana. The team of PBR area scouts who covered the high school baseball season throughout the spring selected Clark amongst a strong group of candidates from across the state. The Prep Baseball Report staff has been diligently scouting and covering games at diamonds across the state this spring to bring parents, athletes and fans the most comprehensive coverage of amateur baseball across the United States. The dedication and coverage allow Prep Baseball Report a credible way to identify the top athletes each year who best represent the state of Indiana.
