The annual Invite Only Preseason All-State Underclass Showcase for the top 2022-2024 prospects is coming up Saturday March 7th at Roundtripper Sports Academy in Westfield, IN. Leading up to the event we will highlight some of the top players to be in attendance.

Scouting Report
6/11/19: 5-foot-11, 155-pound SS / RHP. At the plate, uses movement in his hands for rhythm and a high elbow to generate power; gets off his back foot well; has a straight to the ball swing plane and a high, one-handed finish; 77 mph exit velocity. Showed some athleticism in the field; quick feet; moves well side-to-side; fields ball cleanly; glove works well; has a quick exchange with a 3/4 arm slot; made accurate throws; 83 mph position velocity. On the mound, has a quick arm action; locates well; 80-81 mph FB. Showed good athleticism; ball seems to jump out of his hand. Off speed has depth when he stays on top; 62-65 mph CB; 69 mph CH. Threw all pitches for strikes. Recorded a 60 time of 7.23.
2/23/2019: Corbin Malott, SS/RHP, New Castle HS, 2022, 5 foot 10, 155 pounds, hits with a balanced setup, uses short load and stride to get to a really good launch position. Gets on plane early and stays on plane. Handles the bat well, bat speed will come as frame fills out. Very light on his feet defensively with good actions and exceptional arm strength across the diamond as he threw 84 mph from SS. On the mound Corbin throws from a mid ¾ slot and and a medium arm action. Has arm speed and shows athleticism on the mound. Fastball sat 82-83 with some ASR, Curveball sat 70-72 with good 11/5 tilt and tight spin, and Changeup sat 70-73 with good sink. Is an athletic strike thrower with good arm action and arm speed. Corbin is a high two-way follow in the 2022 class.
2/24/18: 5-foot-9, 145 pound infielder has a simple, line drive approach in the box. Fluid load, short stride. Good balance throughout. Average bat speed. High exit velocity of 73mph. Defensively, he has a clean transfer into quick release. Above average glove. Short arm swing into 3/4 slot. Throws topped 75mph across the infield.
