Sophomore RHP Sloan shuts out Fishers, Zionsville wins 5-0

FISHERS---Zionsville sophomore Grant Sloan was nearly perfect last night pitching seven innings of shutout baseball. He allowed no walks, just two hits and struck out five.
The Eagles offense was led by Travis Tokarek and Cam Richey. Between the two they put up six hits and four RBI. In the third Zionsville score two runs off of Tokarek's double.
The Eagles added three more in the top of the fifth. Tokarek added another RBI when he singled in Ben Kocher, which was followed up by Sloan's RBI double,bringing home Tokarek.
Zionsville improves to 13-7 overall on the season and 8-6 in league play. The Eagles will play a home and home series with conference foe Brownsburg beginning Monday.
