As recruiting heats up for 2025 graduates across the country, we are beginning to take a look at some of the top '25 talent still available in Indiana's junior class. Today, we take a look at '25 OF/LHP Gabe Mathison of Carmel HS.

Mathison offers a very interesting profile - an athletic, switch-hitting outfielder with present twitch to go along with two-way upside. The 6-foot-1, 175 pounder offers quick bat speed from both sides of the dish, working short & direct to the ball. The twitch allows for more impact than the frame suggests, as Mathison has registered a peak exit velocity of 95.8 mph. A good runner (6.85 60) - Mathison offers an intriguing combination of foot-speed and gap power. On the mound, the southpaw pitches from a low 3/4 arm slot that creates a tough look for hitters. The quick-armed lefty has been up to 84 mph on his fastball, sitting in the low-80s. The slot allows for sweep on a low-70s slider, getting to the back foot of RHHs and running away from the barrel of LHHs.
