OUTLOOK:

The Chesty Lions return five starters from their everyday line-up and one pitcher with significant innings off of their 2013 squad that lost in the regional championship game.  Included among the returners is the larger than life 6-foot-8 right-handed pitcher Bryce Montes de Oca, who is coming off an injury last season and could contribute this spring.  In addition, Lawrence returns one of the most prolific offensive players in the state in senior catcher Drew Green who put up Nintendo numbers and racked up a boatload of post-season honors last season.  In addition, expectations are high for senior right-handed pitcher Brandon Bell, a 1st Team All-League performer last year that gives Lawrence a proven #1 pitcher going into 2014.  Senior outfielder Kiernan Severa and Jacob Seratte will both be looked to again for production this spring as will versatile junior Michael Sinks.
