As we prepare for our 2014 high school preseason coverage we are going to take a quick glance at teams from across the state.

OUTLOOK:
Maize returns a talented group from their AVCTL, Division 1 League Championship team last year. Their pitching staff is anchored by a trio of right-handers in senior Drew Johnson, a strike-pumping competitor with a plus breaking ball, senior Seth Troll who racked up 1st Team All-League honors last season and Wichita State commit junior Connor Lungwitz, a physical multi-sport athlete. Brady Hoover provides a physical right-handed bat in the middle of their line-up and a difference-making arm behind the plate or at third. Senior outfielder Jimmy Fisher is a left-handed hitter that gives their line-up balance. In addition, scrappy Colton Helm possesses a solid across the board skill set – as you might expect from the son of an ultra successful high school baseball coach.
