Prep Baseball Report Kansas

As we prepare for our 2014 high school preseason coverage we are going to take a quick glance at teams from across the state.

4A
League:
Centennial
Head Coach: Bill Arnold
Years as Head Coach at School: 3
2013 Overall Record: 19-7

TOP PLAYERS (Listed Alphabetically)

Brogan Heinen, RHP/IF, Class of 2015 – 2nd Team All-Centennial League
Jacob Head, LHP/OF, Class of 2015
Jake Kresin, C/OF, Class of 2014
Derrick McGreevy, RHP/OF, Class of 2015

UNDERCLASSMEN TO WATCH (Listed Alphabetically)

AJ Shaw, LHP/OF, Class of 2017
Connor Schumacher, IF, Class of 2016

OUTLOOK:

The reigning 4A State Champion Wildcats must replace seven All-Centennial League performers off of last year’s team, including 1st team infielder Tanner Triggs.  The cupboard is by no means bare as Hayden returns 2nd Team All-Centennial League right-handed pitcher/infielder Brogan Heinen a significant cog in a strong junior class.  Connor Schumacher is also expected to emerge this spring as a key contributor and talented freshman left-handed pitcher/outfielder AJ Shaw is likely not too far off from making an impact at the varsity level.
