X-FACTOR
Marshall Bland. The speedy senior lead-off hitter returns after earning All-League honors a year ago.

KEY PLAYER LOST
Austin Giannola, SS, 2014 (Labette CC). All-Sunflower League performer was a fixture at shortstop and in the middle of the Raiders line-up last spring.

2015 OUTLOOK:
The Raiders return four everyday starters and three pitchers with significant innings from a year ago. Two seniors notched All-Sunflower honors a year ago in 2B Marshall Bland and RHP Trevor Alpert. South’s line-up also returns experience in senior OF Joe Parsa, C Adam North, IF Jake Anthony and OF/LHP Alex Renfrew. Parsa was South’s everyday centerfielder and hit in the middle of the line-up, while North was one of the few sophomores to start behind the plate for a 6A school. On the mound the Raiders will once again look to Alpert, Renfrew and senior RHP Tyler Perdue. Senior 1B/C Ryan Donnelly and RHP Matt Hollingsworth should see an expanded role this spring as well.
