Player Spotlight: OF/LHP Casey Wulfkuhle (Shawnee Heights, 2017)

Casey Wulfkuhle (Shawnee Heights, 2017) is a 6-foot 175-pound left-handed hitting outfielder and left-handed pitcher.  He attended the Top Unsigned Prospect Showcase on October 30 in Wichita. 

There he touched 84 mph with is fastball, working 82-84 mph and showed a 1-to-7 breaking ball at 69-71 mph.  His change up sat 70-73 mph.

Wulfkuhle ran a 7.05 60 and a 4.25 home-to-first.  He had an event best, 89 mph positional velo from the outfield and posted a 74 mph exit velo.

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)

Wulfkuhle: Not looking for everything in particular.

PBR: How did you do your junior year? What were your high school statistics? And how did your team do?

Wulfkuhle: I started as a sophomore as well and batted over .400 both years plus, was all city 1st team and all centennial 1st team last year. As a team we placed second in state in 5a ball last year as well.

PBR: What are you goals for your senior season?

Wulfkuhle: Lead the league in batting average and era plus, go to state and win it all.

PBR: What travel team do you play for? Are you playing fall ball with a team?

Wulfkuhle: I play for the Topeka stars summer and fall.

PBR: Do you play any other sports?

Wulfkuhle: Baseball is the only sport I play.

PBR: What are your ACT and GPA?

Wulfkuhle: I have a 21 and the ACT and 3.2 GPA.
