McCurdy is a 5-foot-9 145-pound right-handed hitting second baseman in Kansas’ 2020 class. He ran a 6.95 60, a 4.25 home to first and had an 83 mph exit velocity. At the plate, open stance, early to touch, minimal load, loose and quick hands, level path through extension, gap to gap approach during hitting evals. On the infield, athletic pre pitch set up, steps into ball at contact, quick feet to the ball, smooth transfer on time with footwork, loose high three quarters arm slot, mostly accurate throws.
