PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school?

Gilliam: I would prefer to go to a somewhat large school. I am willing to go wherever if the school is the right fit for me. I am undecided on my major at this time but am leaning towards the medical field.

PBR: How did you do your sophomore year? What were your high school statistics? And how did your team do? Name some players that will play a key role for your team in 2016.

Gilliam: Last year was not a standout year but I did well and helped lead my team to the Sub-State championship game. I finished the year hitting .400 and made very few errors playing shortstop. I started at shortstop all year but also filled in for the outfield towards the end of the year as needed. This past year my team lost the Sub-State championship game finishing our season off at 9-11. This upcoming season key players will be Jake Hahn and myself leading as Seniors.

PBR: What are you goals for your Senior season?

Gilliam: My goals for my senior season are to hit .500, make no errors playing the field, and to get my team back to the State playoffs.

PBR: What travel team do you play for? Are you playing fall ball with a team?

Gilliam: I play for the Cavaliers and will be playing under Coach John Urick this fall.

PBR: Do you play any other sports?

Gilliam: Yes, I also play basketball. This summer I played AAU basketball for KC Premiere. I have been a member of my Varsity High School team since my sophomore year.

PBR: What are your ACT and GPA?

Gilliam: My ACT score is a 19. This was my first time taking the test and am scheduled to retake it this September. My GPA is a 3.65 unweighted and a 3.83 weighted.
