The Buzz: Several Prospects Change Commitments

By Nathan Rode and PBR Staff

The last two weeks have been very busy in the recruiting world. With the coaching carousel running on all cylinders, several players have de-committed from schools. Some have settled on another while some are still on the open market. Also, one top prospect is switching high schools—and states. C Cal Greenfield, who was just named to the 18U National Team 40-man trials roster for Team USA, is leaving St. Rita HS, IL, for Jensen Beach HS, FL.

As for changes in commitments, here is a rundown of some of the recent ones…

+ With Gary Henderson stepping down at Kentucky, OF/RHP J.C. Flowers (Trinity Christian Academy, FL) de-committed from the Wildcats and will now head to Florida State. He was drafted in the 18th round by the Reds last month.

+ OF Jacob Pearson (West Monroe HS, LA) de-committed from Mississippi State and committed to Louisiana State in the same day.
