Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state.

As February rolls on, PBR LA staff takes a look at the top 10 most viewed Louisiana profiles of the month. We are able to drill down into the data and track the number of reads thanks to Google analytics. As we usually see in January, the list is dominated by some of the top performers from the slate of preseason showcases and high level committed underclassman.

Michael Ryan SS / OF / Archbishop Rummel , LA / 2024

Rankings StateRank: 21 / POS: 9

No surprise here, as he turned in one of the more impressive performances of the preseason at our SELA Preseason ID. 95 mph max exit velocity and a 6.59 in the 60. Committed to LSU soon after the event.

Andrew Clapinski C / RHP / Catholic (BR), LA / 2025

Rankings StateRank: 32 / POS: 5

Look for Clapinski to rise in our next Class of 2025 rankings release. Consistently finds the barrel with each look that we've had.

Reece Roussel 2B / OF / Brother Martin, LA / 2025

Rankings StateRank: 15 / POS: 1

A popular name among Louisiana baseball fans after he led Eastbank Little League to the 2019 LLWS Championship. Now, a freshman at Brother Martin HS and a strong follow moving forward.

Gavin Guidry SS / RHP / Barbe, LA / 2022

Rankings StateRank: 1 / POS: 1 OverallRank: 43 / POS: 8

The state's top ranked player in the 2022 class has already been up to 94 mph on the mound and should also hit a top the Barbe lineup this spring.

JC Vanek LHP / 1B / Barbe , LA / 2023

Rankings StateRank: 5 / POS: 3 OverallRank: 200 / POS: 28

Vanek is back healthy and is in line to to log a lot of meaningful innings for Barbe this season. The LSU commit also led the Bucs in hitting last spring.

Kade Anderson LHP / OF / St. Paul's, LA / 2023

Rankings StateRank: 1 / POS: 1 OverallRank: 25 / POS: 4

The southpaw has been "the guy" in Louisiana's 2023 class since stepping foot on campus at St. Paul's HS. Up to 92 mph, the LSU commit was an underclass selection for Team USA this past summer.

Dalton Sabathe C / 3B / Pearl River , LA / 2025

Sabathe was a big winner from our preseason events, after he attended our SELA Preseason ID on 01/08/22. Showed bat speed at the plate, but it was his defense that was most impressive. Quality receiver and blocker with athletic footwork and a quick transfer behind the dish. Another strong follow in the 2025 class.

Presley Courville C / SS / Barbe, LA / 2025

A two time Junior Future Gamer; Courville will take over the catching duties for Barbe HS this spring as a freshman. In an early look, we saw why Texas A&M committed him this fall, as he took three quality AB's and played solid defense.

Shelby Anders SS / 2B / St. Michael the Archangel, LA / 2023

Anders was another guy that made a name for himself this preseason at our SELA Preseason ID, where he recorded a max exit velocity of 93 mph.

Drake Pousson RHP / 3B / Barbe, LA / 2024

Rankings StateRank: 68 / POS: 14

Healthy again in 2022; Pousson is a two-way prospect that should see time on the mound this season for Barbe HS.
