6'0" 190 lbs. with a strong lower-half. The LSU recruit continues to prove why he's the top position player in the state and a MLB Draft hopeful come this summer. In his second at-bat, he hit a firm pull-side single that the shortstop was able to field to his backhand, which gave us the opportunity to get him at a 4.13 down the line, showing that he's an above average runner. Ryan hit a pull-side double in his third at-bat and then hit a firm single back up the middle in his fourth at-bat to finish the game 3-5 with the 2B and a RBI. A smooth defender with crisp actions, MLB scouts were out to see Ryan last Monday, and we'd expect that trend to continue as me move deeper into the spring.

Speaking of hard contact, SS Mikey Ryan (Archbishop Rummel, LA) barreled balls in each of his two plate appearances. The first line drive was struck at 94 for a single the opposite way, followed by a laser lined to third base at 100 mph for an out. A high-level, quick-twitch athlete, the LSU recruit also blazed to a 6.62 time in the laser-timed 60-yard dash, 6.46 hand-timed.

Began in an athletic stance with a wrapping load, then used a short stride to initiate his swing. Displayed quick bat speed and an uphill swing plane. Line drive approach. In the infield, showed his ability to throw 67 mph across the diamond; has athletic footwork, twitchy hands and a quick exchange. he fielded the ball out front and showed athletic movement laterally. Showed a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. During the event, he clocked a 60 time of 7.71.
