MD Preseason All State

Strong frame at 6-foot-1, 185-pounds. Square, athletic stance with hands relaxed. Strides forward and lands slightly closed. Hands make small load back and are short and quick to the ball. Bat path is slightly uphill and showed to be pull-side dominant with some strength at contact. Exit velocity was 91 mph. Feet are active on approach to the ball in the infield with a bit of a shuffle. Presents glove out front with soft hands. Clean exchange with a longer arm action throwing from an over the top slot. Positional velocity was 79 mph. Home-1st time was 4.50.  Rocker step forward to start a delivery that showed some rhythm and pace. Repeatable delivery with a consistent balance point and moves forward with a down and out stride landing closed. Shoulders are slightly elevated and displayed a clean hand break with hand going down to a longer arm action and throws from an over the top arm slot. Stayed behind the fastball well and worked it downhill at 74-76 topping out at 77 mph. Curveball velocity was 62-65 mph with a smaller 12/6 shape. Changeup was downhill and sat at 64-65 mph.

MD Fall Invitational

Solid, athletic body type and 6-foot, 185 pound frame. Hits from a balanced, athletic, slightly crouched stance at the plate. Minimal load and short stride creating some separation. Takes hands to the ball with a short, slightly uphill swing path. Generates some lower half involvement and bat speed with good extension through contact. Sprayed the ball around the field during BP with a nice gap-to-gap approach. Exit velo was up to 85 mph. Plays with active feet at third base and works through the ball. Throws with longer arm action from a high three-quarters slot at 81 mph across the diamond. Moves well, showed range, and the ability to make throws from various arm slots.

MD Top Prospect Games II

Athletic, solid body type and 6-foot, 185 pound frame. Hits from a balanced, crouched, square stance at the plate with a wide base. Smooth back load and high leg kick. Drifts a bit forward getting uphill slightly at contact. Showed quick hands with some bat speed and lower half involvement. Short, slightly uphill swing path with a exit velo of 82 mph. Plays with active feet and soft hands at third base. Athletic setup and funnels ball to chest. Slight glove tap during exchange. Short arm action throwing from the side on most throws at 78 mph. Ran a 5.09 home-to-first time.
