With the addition of 25 new faces, PBR Maryland is proud to release the updated Class of 2021 rankings. These rankings consist of prospects we have been able to see across Delaware and Maryland using our boots-to-the-ground approach to scouting in our never-ending effort to provide the most complete scouting coverage.

It is important to note that our PBR Rankings are not just based on the current ability of a player, but also the projection that each prospect has. Projection plays a larger part in our younger class rankings (2021, 2022) as we not only base each player on what they are now, but what we think they can become as they develop down the road to their senior year. As we get closer to that senior season for each class, current ability plays a much larger factor (2020, 2019). Projection, though playing a large part for some players, starts to play less of a factor the closer we get to their year after high school.

There has been some movement in the top ten, as three new faces enter the fold. Our highest new face to the ranking is Catoctin left-handed pitcher and Virginia Tech commit Mason Albright. The talented lefty has a projectable frame with a mid-80's fastball and more to come down the road. Albright comes in at No. 7 of our rankings while right behind him is talented catching prospect Ryan Shieh of Bishop McNamara (Maryland), and our final new face is one of the most intriguing uncommitted prospects in the state in Home Schooled prospect Ehi Okoje, who takes the No. 10 Spot.

No changes to the top of our rankings, as the uber talnted Lorenzo Carrier of Appoquinimink (DE) takes our top spot and extremely projectable LHP Travis Garnett of Indian Creek HS remains at No. 2. Peter Heubeck (Gilman), Zach Martin (Middletown), and Noah Mrotek (Archbishop Spalding) round out the top five.

The 25 new faces to the rankings stretches out of current list of players in the 2021 class to 50. University of Maryland has six commits out of the class already, all in the top ten.
