ON THE BUBBLE
SARTELL SABRES
The Sabres are 5-0 and opponents have to respect Kade Lewis in the middle of the order as he’s in scoring position while in the batter’s box.
CENTENNIAL COUGARS
The Cougars are now 6-2 and have two very good arms in Will Whelan (University of Minnesota) and Aiden Lieser (University of Nebraska).
NEW PRAGUE TROJANS
The Trojans went 4-0 this past week against St. Louis Park, Waconia, Mankato East, and Jordan to improve their record to 8-0.
MAHTOMEDI ZEPHYRS
The Zephyrs are now 5-1. Also, Zephyrs is fun to say.
ROCHESTER MAYO SPARTANS
2-1 this past week with the lone loss to ranked Andover.
PRIOR LAKE LAKERS
Win against Shakopee, losses against Lakeville North, Farmington, and Eastview.
CHANHASSEN STORM
The Storm are having a rough ride through their first four games with losses to Eastview, Hopkins, and Wayzata.

10 // ANDOVER HUSKIES (7) ?
Wins against Champlin Park and Rochester Mayo, losses against Chaska and Rogers. Senior Josh Novak shut down the Mayo offense, striking out 13 over 6 innings of work. The Huskies will be facing Chanhassen, Blaine, Coon Rapids, and Waconia this week
9 // FARMINGTON TIGERS (4) ?
The Tigers had a full plate last week with five games. Farmington walked away 3-2 with wins over Eagan, Lakeville North, and Prior Lake while losing to Rosemount (no. 4) and Apple Valley. In their game against Prior Lake, Farmington was down 7-2 before coming back to win 8-7. This coming week, the Tigers can gain back ground with strong showings against Lakeville South, no. 6 Eastview, and Burnsville.
8 // WAYZATA TROJANS (9) ?
The Trojans finished a busy week 2-2 with wins over a ranked Chanhassen squad and a solid Hopkins team. Against Chanhassen, Wayzata roared back from a 7-0 deficit to win 8-7 in 13 innings. That game included a 20-minute blackout delay after field lights shut off and was won on a walk-off squeeze by North Carolina commit Riley Leatherman. Wayzata has a full week ahead of them with games against Rogers, Buffalo, Edina, and Eden Prairie.
7 // WOODBURY ROYALS (NR) ?
The Royals have entered the chat. Woodbury is now 6-2 with their losses being to the top two ranked teams in Mound View and Cretin. They also defeated Stillwater and no. 2 ranked East Ridge. There’s little doubt that the Suburban East is a slobberknocker of a conference.
6 // EASTVIEW LIGHTNING (NR) ?
Eastview finished the week 3-1 with wins over Apple Valley, Burnsville, and Prior Lake. They dropped one to a very good Shakopee team. In that contest, Future Games alumni Nick Brandt (Uncommitted, 2024) launched one to County Road 42. The Lightning will face both Lakeville schools, Eagan, and Farmington in the coming week.
5 // MINNETONKA SKIPPERS (10) ?
Minnetonka had a strong 3-1 week with wins over St. Michael-Albertville, Buffalo, and a ranked Wayzata team (no. 8). The last win was a thrilling come-from-behind victory where the Skippers had been down 4-1 to the Trojans before winning 8-5 in extra innings.
4 // ROSEMOUNT IRISH (8) ?
Rosemount swept the week against Lakeville North, Farmington, and Eagan. Augustana commit Carter Theisen (2024) threw a one-hit shutout of Eagan and added a bomb to boot. The Irish keep marching onward and will face Apple Valley, Prior Lake (Rankings Bubble), and Lakeville South in the week ahead.
3 // MOUNDS VIEW MUSTANGS (3) ?
The Mustangs took 2 of 3 this week with the one loss to the no. 1 ranked team, Cretin-Derham Hall. The two teams squared off against one another at Target Field. Georgia Tech commit Drew Rogers started the game on the bump for Mounds View. Mounds View held a 4-1 lead as late as the third inning but the Raiders offense continued to put pressure and outlasted the Mustangs. They will see White Bear Lake, Woodbury (no. 7), Park of Cottage Grove, and Stillwater this week.
2 // EAST RIDGE RAPTORS (2) ?
East Ridge won two games (Stillwater and Park of Cottage Grove) and lost against the crosstown rival Woodbury Royals. Redemption for the Raptors could come early this week as they face no. 1 ranked Cretin-Derham Hall on Monday.
1 // CRETIN-DERHAM HALL RAIDERS (1) ?
Raiders remain undefeated (7-0) and continue to rise to the occasion against very good teams. Case in point: Cretin fell behind 4-1 to Mounds View on Saturday but came back to win 6-4 – taking the lead on a single from University of Maryland commit Paul Jones, which drove in two. No rest for the victors as CDH has to turn around and play no. 2 ranked East Ridge on Monday.
