Prep Baseball Report's MN Winter Open event took place on Saturday, March 10, 2018. The event was held at Starters Sports Training in Shakopee, MN. The event featured prospects from the 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 classes who showcased their talents in front of our scouting staff.

Payton Case, 3B, Shakopee, 2019
5-foot-6, 155-pound right-handed hitting third baseman. 4.76 home-to-first time. Slightly open stance, knee to knee trigger, finds barrel consistently, solid contact, mid/pull approach with avg. pop in bat, 84 mph exit velocity. Kyle Celatka, LHP/1B, Prior Lake, 2020

Kyle Chiriboga, C, Hopkins, 2018
5-foot-11, 150-pound right-handed hitting catcher. Uncommitted 2018 with 80 mph arm strength and 1.89-1.97 pop times. Solid athleticism behind plate, flexible and moves well, has ability to receive, mobile to block, works through plate with direction, has accuracy to bag, throws have carry. 4.7 home-to-first time.
