'20 Great Lakes 3B Chris Jacobs had a couple of doubles in their game. A mid/pull approach that has strength in barrel to pull side. Consistent barrel with line drive contact. Average actions and average carry on arm.
6-foot-2, 175-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.05 runner. Square stance, short hand load, flat slashy swing plane, ground ball and line drive contact, gap to gap approach, 83 mph exit velocity. Sure hands, works through baseball well, avg. arm strength, elevated to target with solid accuracy, 80 mph arm strength from outfield. On mound; high leg kick to balance point, lands inline and upright to plate, compact arm action. Fastball was 77-80 mph with slight downhill plane to plate. Loose shape and early break on curveball with 11/5 spin. Avg. feel for stiffer changeup with minimal action.
6-foot, 165-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.26 runner. Balanced square stance. Strides and hands load up. Flat swing plane and weight finished over front leg. Uses the whole field with line drive contact. Average barrel contact. 84 mph exit velocity. IF- Average glove and plays high. Narrow feet to field. Moves better laterally. Longer arm action. 75 mph arm strength with average carry and accuracy. On mound- Good tempo and balance in delivery. Shorter stride. Lands and throws across body. High over the top release. Some stiffness in arm action. Fastball is straight at 73-74 mph. Curveball has 11/5 break with loose spin and below average shape at 58-60 mph. Change-up has inconsistent feel at 65-66 mph.
6-foot, 165-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 4.83 home-to-first time. Square stance, hand load with knee to knee trigger, line drive swing plane with lift through contact, shows ability to go with pitch the other way, solid pop in bat with gap to gap approach, 75 mph exit velocity. Active feet, solid fielder with avg. glove, makes routine, long release on throws with accuracy to bag, 73 mph arm across infield. On mound; rocker step into higher balance point, low hand set, short stride down mound, lands across body, slight pie arm action, high ¾ arm slot. Fastball has slight running action at 68-70 mph; touching 72 mph. 12/6 breaking ball has loose spin with early break for strikes. Changeup is straight with avg. fade and action.
