Season Outlook
The Christian Brothers Cadets will return eight position players and three pitchers from 2017 and will open this spring as the number five ranked team in the Missouri State High School coaches poll.  Two junior left-handed pitchers will lead the way on the mound in Cole Schroeder (Missouri State) and Justin Arens.  Both Schroeder and Arens earned All-Metro Catholic Conference honors last season.  They wll be joined on the mound by a pair of hard throwing underclassmen in junior Josh Plohr and freshman Christian Little (Vanderbilt).  The Cadets will feature Kurtis Byrne (Indiana) behind the plate with Collin Turnbeagh (Purdue) and Colin Bergman (St. Louis University) on the infield.  All-Conference junior Brett Gabbert will return in the outfield along with fellow junior Kylon Cunningham.  Watch for senior Dylan McGraw to have an impact this spring on the infield.  The Cadets will have a talented line up that can defend, hit and pitch which will make them a contender for the Missouri Class 5 state title.
