Season Outlook
The Jays will be entering the 2018 season on a 21-game winning streak after winning the Missouri Class 5 State Championship in June.  Jefferson City will return three starters in the line up and one starter on the mound.  Payton Bodenstab will return in the outfield after being named Honorable Mention All-State as a junior. He will be joined with fellow outfielder Tyler Bise, a senior committed to Westminster.  The Jays will return a pair of seniors on the infield in Michael Skinner and Mason Hansen, while seniors Cade Galbaith and Joseph Travis will lead the pitching staff.  Keep an eye on junior Jack Shinkle, a 6-foot-5 two-way player that will have a definite impact this spring on the mound and in the middle of the line-up.  Jefferson City also has a talented corps of sophomores and juniors that will compete for rolls this spring to help maintain their status among the elite in Missouri's largest class.
