MO Preseason All-State Preview

This Saturday, Feb. 6th, the PBR Missouri team is hosting the Missouri Preseason All-State Showcase at the Sportsbarn indoor facility in Wentzville, MO. This is an invite-only event for all high school classes (2021-24), and gives our staff an ample look at many of the state's top players.

Below is a look at some of the top known players from each of the classes attending the sold out Missouri Preseason All-State invite event.

2021's

The event has a number of uncommitted guys from the class heading into their senior campaign including Jaxon Elder (Francis Howell), Gavin Degnan (Hazelwood West), Jayden Gegg (Valle Catholic), Daniel Kolditz (Parkway South), Joshua Stratton (Westminster), Joseph Villarreal (Hickman) Jericho Badwan (Fort Zumwalt West) and Daniel Vogt (Trico). With another offseason under their belt it will be an important to see who has taken another jump and who might catch a schools attention next.

2022's

Some of the top ranked uncommitted 2022's will be at the event, to date 16 from the class have committed to 4 year schools as they enter into an important junior season. 

DANIEL FLIEROF / RHP / CBC, MO / 2022

One of the states top lefthanded bats and uncommitted players. Team Missouri Future Games participant.

 

 


JACK DUMONTLHP / 1B / ST. LOUIS UNIVERSITY , MO / 2022

The top uncommitted LHP in the MO 2022 class. DuMont is a tall athletic arm with a feel for pitching.

 

 


JOE SIERVOOF / SS / PARKWAY CENTRAL, MO / 2022

Good all around athlete and hard nosed player. Siervo is a 7.1 runner and has an exit vlo of 91+ can impact the game in multiple ways.

 

 


JACOB BROWNRHP / WESTMINSTER, MO / 2022

The Rhp has a good three pitch mix (Fb, Ch, Sl) With the ability to pitch in the upper 80's and has been as high as 90 ith a sharp slider Brown will be an arm that will gather plenty of attention in the 2022 class.

 


AUSTIN ALMANYC / 1B / ST. PIUS X, MO / 2022

One of the stats top uncommitted catchers. Pop times as low as 1.97 paired with an 89 exit vlo and a Projectable frame.

 

 


ANTHONY FUMAGALLISS / OF / TIMBERLAND, MO / 2022

An athletic SS with a strong throwing arm. Fumagalli has the ability to drive the ball to all fields offensively and has posted an exit vlo of 87.

 

 


JACK BRYANRHP / FRANCIS HOWELL, MO / 2022

A proven strike thrower with a good feel for pitch. Bryan has a 4 pitch mix (Fb, Ch, Cb, Sl) that he will throw in any count to keep hitters off balance.

 

 


PARKER DEMPSEYOF / 1B / TIMBERLAND , MO / 2022

A strong physical lefthanded bat with thump in his bat.

 

 

2023's

Has already demonstrated to be an extremely loaded class. To date 13 players have committed to four year school while 15 from the Missouri class are ranked in the PBR top 500 national rankings. Here are a some known players to keep an eye on heading into the event.

CAMRON POELHP / OF / CHRISTIAN BROTHERS COLLEGE, MO / 2023

A top 100 ranked player nationally in the 2023 class. Poe has a fastball that works in the upper 80's and regularly can top out at 90. Lots of projection in the arm with a long limbed 6'2 athletic frame. Future Games participant

 

 


ADAM HACHMANLHP / TIMBERLAND, MO / 2023

An tall lanky Lhp with a high upside. At the Future Games last summer he worked his fastball 83-84 proving to be a tough look for hitters. Look for a velocity increase soon in the young arm. Future Games participant

 

 

BRYSEN NEPUTE OF / LHP / CBC, MO / 2023

One of the top 2-way talents in the state and has the ability to be an impact performer as a pitcher and positional player. Nepute has plenty of strength in his swing and a dominate curveball making him an interesting follow. Future Games participant

 

 


TYLER MACONSS / 2B / KIRKWOOD , MO / 2023

An exciting talent Macon brings energy and a big bat. At the Future Games this summer he had one of the best in game performances at the plate during the event. Future Games Particpant

 

 


LANE HARRISLHP / FRANCIS HOWELL CENTRAL , MO / 2023

A Lhp with the states best curveball metrics Harris has shown the ability to spin the cb up to and over 3000 rpm. His fastball has been up to 84 and also has a good change making him one of the top arms in the state to know.

 

 


TYLER WHITWORTH1B / RHP / HAZELWOOD WEST, MO / 2023

A 6'4 L/R 2-way talent that has a chance to be an impact bat and arm on the mound. Offensively has the ability to drive the ball and currently has pull side pop. On the mound he has a fastball that can get to the mid 80's with a projectable frame.

 

 


MYLES KRUGERSS / 2B / KIRKWOOD, MO / 2023

Kruger is a smooth infield defender with good actions and is one of the top defenders in the MO 2023 class. Offensively he has posted 88 mph exit vlo's on TrackMan.

 

 


COLE LEMONSC / RHP / NOTRE DAME, MO / 2023

One of the top uncommitted catchers in the state, and has an accurate arm. Lemons also is an impact offensive player with the ability to drive the ball gap to gap with power showcasing 90+ exit vlo's.

 

 

 

2024's

The class has shown early to have some high performers as 3 players are already off the board to major 4 year schools. We are still getting to know this group as they have yet to play a high school game but here are a couple to keep an eye that have turned heads already.

JAKE MCGHEE1B / LHP / CBC, MO / 2024

A 2-way talent that has a good feel for pitching with a plus curve ball with 1/7 bite and has dominated at times on the mound. Offensively he has a strong lefthanded swing with the ability to drive the ball into both gaps.

 

 


XANDER SCHMITTC / RHP / LAFAYETTE, MO / 2024

Is one of the top all around players in the 2024 having the ability to play C/INF/OF/P. An above ave runner for the class and has showed pop times in the low 2."s and an exit vlo in the upper 80's this will be one to have eyes on in the years to come.
