MOKAN Summer Trials: Catchers Analysis

Prep Baseball Report- Missouri/Kansas held the MOKAN Summer Trials on July 16 at LaRoche Baseball Complex in Fort Scott, Kansas. Over thirty five players in the 2024-2020 classes attended.
Player profiles have been updated with running times and velocities along with a video of their performance.
Players can now updated their profiles with a ProspectPlus subscription, while scouts and recruiters can add players on ScoutPlus.

Brantley Carter C / 3B / Webb City , MO / 2022Carter is a 5-foot-7 145-pound right-handed hitting catcher in Missouri’s 2022 class. He ran a 7.64 60 and a 5.52 home to first. He has a 76 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced set up, hands load with stride, loose hands with level swing plane, gap to gap line drives, repeats swing. Behind the plate, thin set up, sits low, over the top arm slot, fluid transfer with quick feet, throws have accuracy, some with carry, pop times between 2.09 and 2.32-seconds, 72 mph positional velocity. |
Cole Chace C / SS / Blue Springs South, MO / 2023Chace is a 5-foot-11 170-pound right-handed hitting catcher in Missouri’s 2023 class. He ran a 7.88 60 and a 4.37 home to first. He has a 78 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts in open stance, athletic position, loads with lower half, hands walk way from stride, stays balanced, hands work inside the ball, gap to gap approach.
