Prep Baseball Report- Missouri/Kansas held the MOKAN Summer Trials on July 16 at LaRoche Baseball Complex in Fort Scott, Kansas. Over thirty five players in the 2024-2020 classes attended.

Player profiles have been updated with running times and velocities along with a video of their performance. 

Players can now updated their profiles with a 
ProspectPlus subscription, while scouts and recruiters can add players on ScoutPlus.

Outfielders

Jacob Becker RHP / 3B / Shawnee Heights , KS / 2021

Becker is a 6-foot-1 175-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in Kansas’ 2021 class.  He ran a 6.99 60 and a 5.02 home to first.   He had an 83 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced stance, leg kick with quick tempo, in line stride, level path with some lift at finish, swing produced middle to pull side line drives.  In the outfield, high three quarters arm slot, works behind the ball, creates momentum after the catch, small crow hop, clean transfer, accurate throws, 85 mph positional velocity.

Jake Beckmann OF / RHP / Frontenac , KS / 2020

Beckmann is a lean and projectable 6-foot 165-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in Kansas’ 2020 class.  He Ran a 6.93 60 and a 4.82 home to first.  He has an 87 mph exit velocity. At the plate, open stance, loaded in back side, minimal load, quiet hands, lands in line with stride, loose and controlled swing, level path, gap to gap line drives.  In the outfield, fluid footwork to the ball, clean glove to hand transfer, smooth high three quarters arm action, gains ground after the catch, mostly accurate throws, 79 mph positional velocity.

Logan Brooks RHP / OF / Hume, MO / 2022

Brooks is a 6-foot 155-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in Missouri’s 2022 class.  He ran a 7.84 60 and a 4.98 home to first.  He had an 86 mph exit velocity. At the plate, open stance, loads with hands, stays slightly open with stride, sing produced middle to pull side contact, flashing pull side pop.  In the outfield, aggressive to the ball with footwork, works behind the ball and through the catch, fluid transfer on time with momentum, mostly accurate throws, 78 mph positional velocity.

Nate Burdette OF / C / Maranatha Christian Academy, KS / 2020

Burdette is a stocky 5-foot-9 180-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in Kansas’ 2020 class.  He ran a 7.48 60 and a 4.03 home to first.  He has an 85 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts with open stance, rocks to back side to load, controlled, minimal hand movement, level path through hitting zone, one handed finish, mostly pull side line drives.  In the outfield, over the top arm slot, crow hop after clean transfer, has momentum to throw, mostly accurate throws, with carry, 77 mph positional velocity.

Charles Cahalan OF / RHP / Bishop Miege, KS / 2022

Cahalan is a 5-foot-11 160-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in Kansas’ 2022 class.  He ran a 7.10 60 and a 4.83 home to first.  He has an 83 mph exit velocity. At the plate, athletic stance, slightly open, short in line stride with minimal load, some lift to bat path, middle to pull side line drives, some feel for barrel.  In the outfield, active and aggressive footwork, high three quarter arm slot, fluid transfer on time with momentum in feet, mostly accurate throws, 73 mph positional velocity.

Quinn Diggs OF / 2B / Olathe North, KS / 2021

Diggs is a 5-foot-9 160-pound left-handed hitting outfielder in Kansas’ 2021 class.  He ran a 7.36 60 and a 4.25 home to first.  He has an 82 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced stance, loads with weight shift and hands, quick bat speed, level though the zone, loose hands, gap to gap approach, simple and repeatable swing, over the top arm slot, fluid footwork to the ball, gains ground with feet after the catch, small crow hop, clean transfer and throw, mostly accurate throws, 74 mph positional velocity.

Colin Johnson C / OF / Maize South, KS / 2022

Johnson is a 5-foot-9 175-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in Kansas’ 2022 class.  He ran a 7.34 60 and a 4.84 home to first.  He has an 86 mph exit velocity. At the plate, wide base, slightly open, smooth load to back side, level path, middle to pull side line drives. In the outfield, high three quarters arm slot, creates momentum with footwork after the catch, clean transfer and throw, mostly accurate throws, 80 mph positional velocity.

Brandon Kelley OF / RHP / Baxter Springs, KS / 2021

Kelley is a 5-foot-10 188-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in Kansas’ 2021 class.  He ran a 7.84 60 and a 4.32 home to first.  He has an 83 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced stance, loads to back side with weight shift, slight lift to path, stays balanced, middle to pull side line drives.  In the outfield, high three quarters arm slot, gains ground with footwork after transfer, clean exchange, plays behind the ball, 75 mph positional velocity.

Dylan Snider OF / RHP / Lockwood, MO / 2023

Snider is a 5-foot-7 143-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in Missouri’s 2023 class.  He ran a 8.63 60 and a 5.25 home to first.  He has a 70 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced set up, short stride, controlled swing with middle of the field line drives.  In the outfield, high three quarters arm slot, gains ground after the catch with clean exchange, 70 mph positional velocity. 

Braden Tucker OF / RHP / Staley , MO / 2022

Tucker is a lean 6-foot-1 165-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in Missouri’s 2022 class.  He ran a 7.30 60 and 5.01 home to first.  He has an 83 mph exit velocity. At the plate, tall and even stance, some pre pitch rhythm in hands, stays balanced with level path, gap to gap line drives.  In the outfield, high three quarters arm slot, fluid footwork with crow hop during transfer, creates momentum, mostly accurate throws, 76 mph positional velocity.

Hunter Wohler OF / RHP / Shawnee Heights, KS / 2021

Wohler is a 5-foot-11 160-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in Kansas’ 2021 class.  He ran a 7.44 60 and a 4.90 home to first.  He has a 77 mph exit velocity.  At the plate, balanced stance, no wasted movement in load, short in line stride with slight leg lift, level path with gap to gap approach. In the outfield, high three quarters arms slot, works behind the ball, small crow hop, fluid transfer, mostly accurate throws, 73 mph positional velocity.
