Scout Day: Prodigy - Outfielder Analysis

Prep Baseball Report Missouri held the Prodigy Scout Day Scout Day on February 23 at the Prodigy Baseball Facility in Parkville, Missouri. Nearly forty players participated in the 2022 to 2018 classes.

Player profiles have been updated with running times and velocities along with a video of their performance. 

Players can now updated their profiles with a 
ProspectPlus subscription, while scouts and recruiters can add players on ScoutPlus.

Here is a closer look at the outfileders from the event, listed in alphabetical order.


Outfielders

Justin Agnor OF / RHP / Liberty, MO / 2021

Agnor is a 5-foot-8, 135-pound, right-handed hitting outfielder in Missouri’s 2021 class. He ran a 5.00 second home-to-first and posted and exit velocity of 88 mph. During batting practice, starts slightly open, leg lift into load, in line stride, some rhythm with hands, shows control of the barrel, minimal head movement, high finish with hands. Defensively in the outfield, athletic actions, smooth transfer to release, momentum towards target, clean arm action, high three-quarter release, positional velo of 76 mph, accurate throws.

Jehr Fowler 3B / OF / Staley, MO / 2021

Fowler is a 5-foot-10, 170-pound, right-handed hitting outfield and corner infield prospect in Missouri’s 2021 class. He ran a 5.07 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 87 mph. During batting practice, simple load, quiet hands, in line stride, remains balanced throughout, showed mostly pull side contact during round. Defensively in the outfield, aggressive to the baseball, clean transfers, momentum towards target, high three-quarter release, positional velo of 74 mph, accurate throws

Kenny Hoover OF / RHP / Park Hill South, MO / 2021

Hoover is a 5-foot-10, 145-pound, right-handed hitting outfield and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2021 class. He ran a 4.67 home-to-first and posted and exit velocity of 80 mph. During batting practice, Hoover starts in an athletic stance, weight shift / knee pinch in to load, in line stride, uphill with swing, remains balanced throughout, mostly pull side contact during round. Defensively, aggressive to the baseball, clean transfers, momentum towards target, over the top release, positional velo of 74 mph, mostly accurate throws.

Grant Littrell OF / RHP / Liberty, MO / 2021

Littrell is a 5-foot-8, 175-pound, left-handed hitting outfielder and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2021 class. He ran a 4.57 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 80 mph. During batting practice, Litrell starts in an upright stance, quiet load, some rhythm with hands, in line stride, remains balanced throughout, minimal head movement, showed pull side contact during round with some pop. Defensively, aggressive to the baseball, clean transfers, momentum towards target, over the top release, positional velo of 79 mph, mostly accurate throws.

Joshua Lowe OF / SS / Park Hill South, MO / 2021

Lowe is a 5-foot-10, 145-pound, right-handed hitting outfielder in Missouri’s 2021 class. He ran a 4.34 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 77 mph. During batting practice, Lowe starts in an athletic stance, minimal movement with load, some rhythm with hands, in line stride, remains balanced throughout swing, showed mostly pull contact during round. Defensively in outfield, aggressive to the baseball, clean transfers, momentum towards target, three-quarter release, positional velo of 80. On the infield, moves well laterally, clean transfers, three-quarter release, positional velo of 76 mph, mostly accurate throws.

Dayton Mitchell OF / Platte County, MO / 2021

Mitchell is a 5-foot-11, 175-pound, right-handed hitting outfielder in Missouri’s 2021 class. He ran a 4.59 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 89 mph. At the plate, small leg lift into load, in line stride, loose hands, barrel control, quick hands, flat bat path, showed hard contact throughout round. In the outfield, Mitchell showed fluid actions, aggressive to the baseball, clean transfers, ove the top release, momentum towards target, positional velo of 76 mph, mostly accurate throws.

Keaton O'Connor OF / RHP / Liberty, MO / 2021

O’Connor is a 5-foot-11, 175-pound, right-handed hitting outfielder in Missouri’s 2021 class. He ran a 4.75 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 82 mph. During batting practice, O’Connor has a reverse toe-tap into load, rhythm with hands, aggressive swing, quick bat, level bat path, minimal head movement, extension through the baseball, ball jumps off barrel, primarily pull contact during round. In the outfield, aggressive to the baseball, quick transfer to release, short arm action, over the top release, positional velo of 82 mph, mostly accurate throws

Jackson Ramsey LHP / OF / Park Hill, MO / 2021

Ramsey is a 6-foot, 155-pound, left-handed hitting outfielder and left-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2021 class. He ran a 4.72 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 73 mph. During batting practice, Ramsey shows a leg lift into his load, in line stride, rhythm with hands, repeatable swing, minimal head movement, high finish with hands, mostly pull contact during round. Defensively, attacks the baseball, clean arm action, momentum towards target, fluid footwork, positional velo of 78 mph, mostly accurate throws.

Grant Rhodes SS / OF / Park Hill South, MO / 2021

Rhodes is a long and lean 6-foot, 150-pound, left-handed hitting outfielder and middle infielder in Missouri’s 2021 class. He ran 4.53 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 87 mph. During batting practice, Rhodes uses a weight shift to get into his load position, loose hands, in line stride, leverages up front side, generates whip with the barrel, minimal head movement, produced hard contact during round. In the outfield, attacks the baseball, quality footwork, clean transfers, momentum towards target, clean arm action, high three-quarter release, positional velo of 76 mph, fairly accurate throws.

Logan Whitley OF / RHP / Oak Park, MO / 2020

Whitely is a lean and projectable 6-foot-3, 155-pound, left-handed hitting outfielder in Missouri’s 2020 class. He ran a 4.29 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 81 mph. During batting practice, long levers, athletic set up, quiet load, reverse toe tap, quick bat, feel for the barrel, repeatable swing, showed hard contact to the middle of the field during round. Defensively, smooth actions, clean transfers, easy throwing action, momentum towards target, high three-quarter release, positional velo of 77 mph, accurate throws.
