Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Mizuno Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state. Thanks to Mizuno for sponsoring both awards this season.

Drew Prosek 3B / OF / Magnolia Heights, MS / 2023 Rankings  StateRank: 22 / POS: 4 Sweet swinging Drew Prosek of Magnolia Heights is our Mizuno Mississippi Player of the Week as picked up 9 hits in 15 at bats. Prosek had a pair of home runs, 2 doubles, and 9 runs batted in as the Chiefs went 5-0 on the week. The Gulf Coast State College (FL) recruit is now hitting .389 on the year with 3 home runs, 7 doubles and 17 rbi's.
