Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Mizuno Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state. Thanks to Mizuno for sponsoring both awards this season.

Let's take a look at the Mizuno Player and Pitcher of the Week for Week 7 (March 27th - April 1st)

 

MIZUNO PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Braden Smith 2B / 1B / Brandon , MS / 2023 Smith had an outstanding week with 9 hits including 2 three run homers, 4 doubles, and 13 runs batted in for the Bulldogs to earn our PBR MS Player of the Week. On the year the Jones College recruit is now hitting .474 with 23 RBI's.

 

MIZUNO pitcher OF THE WEEK

Tanner Beliveau C / 3B / Petal, MS / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 15 / POS: 4 Beliveau was lights out this week with a 7 inning no hitter over North Pike to earn our PBR MS Pitcher of the Week. The sophomore and Mississippi State commit walked just 2 and struck out 11 on the game.
