PBR Future Games: Game 3 Recap

EMERSON, GA - The PBR Future Games continued on Saturday with all teams competing against other various states after participating in a pro-style workout on Wednesday. In front of hundreds of college recruiters looking for prospects at LakePoint Sports in Emerson, GA, Team Mississippi took their second game of the week over Team Alabama by score of 5-1 using a stellar pitching performance and quality defense in the field. Pitcher-only's threw limited innings each in a seven-inning contest and showcased some intriguing stuff in the process.
Team Mississippi wrapped up their week over at PBR Future Games with a 5-1 win over Alabama, finishing with a 2-1 record overall on the week. Today, we are going to take a look at some of the players who had some noteworthy performances from yesterday's contest against Alabama.
Game 3 Top performers
Banks Teater C / 1B / Magee, MS / 2025

Uncommitted, 6-foot-0, 170-pounds, is one of the top catchers in the 2025 class. Teater has a high ceiling and passes the eye test with his frame and athletic ability. The left-handed hitting catcher has a smooth stroke with some natural lift to the swing. Got things going for the Mississippi offense early on in the first inning with a triple. During the workout on Wednesday, had a solid showing during BP with a top exit velo of 90.4 mph. Defensively, showed pop times in 1.92-1.94 range. The rising sophomore is a high follow in the 2025 class.
Cayden Baker RHP / 1B / Lewisburg, MS / 2024
Uncommitted, 6-foot-1, 190-pounds, is one of the top, high-level arms in the 2024 Mississippi class. Got the start in game three for Mississippi at the PBR Future Games against a solid Alabama lineup. Worked comfortably in the 85-90 mph range during his outing with the fastball, showed some tight spin with the slider at 77-80 mph and also had several swing and misses with the change piece down in the zone at 79-80 mph. Managed to give Mississippi three quality innings of work, allowing just one hit, one walk and striking out three. Also earned player of the game honors in the win. High, upside arm with more room to progress.
Logan Pratt RHP / 3B / Kirk Academy, MS / 2024

Uncommitted, 6-foot-4, 195-pounds, is a long, lean, and athletic right-handed arm. Made his appearance out of the 'pen, working in the middle innings of game three for Mississippi. Tossed two scoreless frames during his outing, the fastball played as a primary pitch for the right-hander at 88-91 mph. Pratt allowed just one hit during his outing and also punched out three. Fairly efficient and quick two innings on just thirty-one total pitches. The frame has plenty of upside and room to produce more strength and velo down the road.
Matthew Osteen RHP / Lewisburg, MS / 2024
Uncommitted, 6-foot-0, 175-pounds, is another top ranked arm in the '24 class. Osteen came in to close things down for the Mississippi squad during their 5-1 win over Alabama on Saturday. In his one inning of work, Osteen tossed a scoreless frame, allowing one hit, one walk and one earned run. Although he ran into some trouble during the inning, still flashed some intriguing stuff on the mound. The fastball had some life at 86-88 mph and topped out at 89 mph on numerous occasions. Live arm that has room for the body to build on and develop as he adds more strength and size.
