7/17/18 Athletic 5-foot-11, 175-pound frame with room for added strength. Left-handed hitter controlled the barrel well at the plate, making solid contact during BP driving balls to the outfield gaps; posted 90 mph exit velo off the tee. Hits from an athletic stance, has a smooth load back and a low hanging leg kick where he maintains excellent balance, controls his weight-shift which keeps his head and eyes quiet throughout the swing, and has a quick hands that are level through the zone. Ran a 7.25 60-yard dash. His quick feet translate behind the plate where he is quick out of his stance to throw and has a quick release; posted pop times in the range of 1.79-1.97 seconds with 81 mph velocity. Arm strength translates well to the mound for the right-hander running his fastball up to 88 mph, pitching mostly 83-86 with command in the zone. Works from a high-¾ slot with a medium, loose arm stroke. Tilts his shoulder at the top of his leg lift, leaning back before working down the mound with a drop and drive delivery and an athletic finish. Arm works well from back to front with in-line direction and athletic finish. Curveball has 11-5 shape at 67-69 mph and changeup showed slight fading action to the arm side at 68-72 mph. Recorded three strike outs on the first three hitters faced in game play.
