Outlook
The Mooreville Troopers have their eyes set on another strong season in 2018. Coach Derek Thompson returns nearly the entire team from last year's 28-win, state championship squad. The Troopers will rely heavily on strong pitching and defensive performance to carry them through the 2018 campaign. Headlining the lineup for the Troopers will be two-way players Hammer Franks and Andrew Peugh. Franks and Peugh had a big impact on the lineup last year as they combined to drive in 64 runs at the plate while striking out 68 hitters on the mound. An underclassman to watch will be RHP/OF Will Armistead, as he will make a significant impact on the mound after recording 85 strike outs in his sophomore season.
