APRIL 26TH - ROUND 2
+ RHP Cade Morrow (East Webster, 2024) was dominant on the mound for the Wolverines in their Round 2 matchup against a very talented Kossuth Aggies squad. The right hander has a leaner and athletic body with the 6-foot-1, 150-pound frame, whippy-like arm and athletic all around the mound. Worked with a three pitch-mix throughout the entirety of his outing in what would be just a five innings complete game stint as the East Webster offense would put up 11 runs. Morrow’s fastball worked in the 86-88 mph range with some late life and was also established to multiple quadrants of the zone. He also flashed both a curveball (72-74 mph) that generated weaker contact and even swings-and-misses, along with the changeup (77-79 mph) that displayed some arm side action. The East Central CC recruit would conclude his night with 5 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 3 BB and 8 K’s and help lead the Wolverines to a series sweep over Kossuth in Round 2.
