MONDAY, FEBRUARY 19TH

+ RHP Brayden Smith (Sumralll, 2025) came out of the pen for the Bobcats and went to work in the 5th inning. It was our first time seeing the junior right hander and he offers something college recruiters will want to get out and see. On a somewhat chilly night Smith used primarily fastballs in his 1 inning of work and sat in the 80-82 mph range though with his lean frame and loose arm action more velocity is surely coming. He also pitched with intent and went right after each hitter as he picked up 3 strikeouts in the frame.
