We would like to thank all who participated in The PBR New England 2022 Scout Day: Boys of Summer. This was a great opportunity for 2023-2025 prospects to be put on college recruiting boards. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase. 2022 Scout Day: Boys of Summer - Quick Hits

Position Players

  • Derek Davis, 2024- A right-handed hitter, short quick line drive stroke. Advanced feel for hitting for a 2024.
  • Connor Edo, 2023- A right-handed hitter, exit of 88 mph, baseball jumps off the bat, has continued to improve. A line drive attack, driving the baseball from gap to gap. Behind the plate is advanced, strong hands, with an above average arm at 76 mph.
  • John Fox, 2022- A right-handed hitting third baseman, clean smooth actions defensively, enough arm to stick on left side. Short, simple swing.
  • Gavin Glass, 2023- A right-handed hitter, a plus runner at 6.88. Smooth swing level to up path, exit of 85 mph. Projects out, with a ton more in there.
  • Jake Gruner, 2023- A right-handed hitter, stronger hands and wrists. Clean path to and through the baseball.
  • Ryan Heinz, 2024- A left-handed hitter, took a solid round of batting practice with plus pop, more of a pull approach. Throws it well both from the outfield and behind the plate, arm up to 81 mph.
  • Joshua Loh, 2024- A right-handed hitter, solid round of batting practice line pop. Showed a very good flow defensively, arm at 78 mph, across the diamond.
  • Grady Schopps, 2024- A right-handed hitting middle infielder, an above average defender, quick, twitchy actions. The arm is clean with carry, clocked at 77 mph, with a ton more in there.
  • Kieran Shea, 2024- A right-handed hitter, chance to hit with power, interesting follow.
  • Ryan Slack, 2023- A right-handed hitter, long and lengthy frame, plus actions, easy life out of the arm. Line drive approach to the middle of the field. A sleeper for me, added strength will help his game.

The Arms

  • Nicholas Cerreto, 2024- A right-handed pitcher, simple, repeatable delivery. A ¾ slot, whippy arm action, a heavy fastball at 77 mph, mixed in a very good change up, threw the slider for strikes.
  • Dylan Ellison, 2023- A right-handed pitcher, attacks and is very aggressive. Quick tempoed motion, higher athletic kick. Fastball is heavy and gets on the hitter, up to 84 mph. Throws a harder slider at 75 mph.
  • Daniel Lang, 2023- A right-handed pitcher, loose, whippy arm action, working from a natural ¾ slot. Fastball reached 81 mph, with heavy arm-side run. The breaking ball has a chance to be above average. Big follow for me.
  • Hayden Lee, 2024- A left-handed pitcher, smooth, repeatable delivery, shorter arm action on the backside, working from a ¾ slot. Fastball was up to 74 mph, with a ton more in there, feel for the breaking ball.
  • Rocco Leito, 2023- A right-handed pitcher, working from set position. Simple delivery, repeats it, pounds the zone with a three pitch mix.  The fastball was clocked at 76 mph.
