TELL US MORE...

Tell us about your commitment to Maryland. Why did you decide on your school?
I committed to Maryland because of the coaching staff and culture they have created.
I really liked the class above me and knew they would be good guys to both share the field with and to have as a big brother figure.Coach vaughn, Swope, Muscara and Pap made Maryland very homey from the start of my recruiting process which made it very easy for me to decide to be a Terp compared to the other schools.

The offseason is upon us. Tell us a little about your off-season training:
My offseason tends to follow the same schedule each day, up at 6 get my work in, and then after school, I'll get a lift in, which I'm focusing on some core components which include my legs, my core and then I'll do multiple upper body workouts. I feel like I work in that order because I believe most things you do in baseball start from the ground up, especially when I catch and the use of my legs and core in my swing. After that, I'll get my catching work in which will include footwork, simple blocking and then receiving. From there I'll start BP and my BP focuses/routines usually change throughout the week especially if I'm working with my hitting coaches Angel Salome or Maxx Catapano. After that, I'll head home around 8 pm and do it all again the next day.

Baseball is a game built on adversity & failure. How have you dealt with the the ups & downs the game brings? Who might have helped you along the way?
I've grown to embrace the failure that the game brings. I used to get frustrated with the constant failure of baseball, but As I've matured as I baseball player I've learned without failure there's nothing to strive for. I've been taught that most of the lowest "downs" created the highest "Up's", its very cliche but most of the time when I have constantly failed at the plate it forced me to focus on detail and eventually it creates either a breakout offense performance in high school ball or a highly talented tournament.

Who is your biggest influence in the game today?
My biggest influence in the game today has to be my family and all the close people around me. I say this because they've been supporting me from the start and if times get hard I use them as motivation to keep bettering myself.

Best player you ever shared the field with and why?
Throughout my years I've shared the field with many great players, especially playing with the Canes in the summer than switching to the Dirtbags organization in the fall, but If I have to keep it to two players I would say, Trejyn Fletcher who was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the second round or Jake Deleo who I've played with for many years, I saw him transform himself and earn a spot in the PG All American game. He has big tools that affect a game solely by himself and he has a big future ahead of him.

How has your experience been with Prep Baseball Report?
My experience with PBR has been great, there platform really exposes you to the eye of college coaches and professional scouts. I am happy I was selected to represent in the Futures Game which is the biggest scouted event in the country, in those three days I earned many college opportunities and also Committed to play at the University of Maryland by the end of the second day.

IN CLOSING...

The ultimate long term goal is what?
My ultimate long term goal is to have a solid 3-4 years at Maryland depending on my draft opportunities. At Maryland I hope to make both a super regional and hopefully have a chance for us to Play in Omaha. After Maryland my goal is to get drafted in either the 2023 draft or 2024, play pro ball and from there see where baseball can take me.
