With the 2016 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state.

Starting February 1st, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2016 Spring Team Preview: Bryan Golden Bears

Team Name: Bryan Golden Bears
Head Coach: Jeff Inselmann
Division: II
2015 Record: 26-4
Conference Record: NWOAL, 8-0
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 4/3

2016 Team Strengths:

• Team Defense
• Pitching

2016 Team Weaknesses:

• Lack of varsity experience
• Middle of the order run producers

Coach Outlook: "After coming off a very successful 2015 season (Record: 26-4) and graduating 9 seniors, this year's Bryan baseball team is very inexperienced but features many potential next-level players. With a rich baseball tradition, we have high expectations for this year and expect to compete in every game. We will rely on playing fundamental baseball. We are confident that we will be solid defensively and we must have pitchers who can throw strikes and keep us in games."

PBR Outlook: When thinking of the Bryan Golden Bears, you think of baseball tradition. A perennial power in the state, the Golden Bears look to reload in 2016 after a strong 26-4 campaign in 2015. With Deylen Miley on the field and talented youth along side of him, including one of the top pitchers in the 2018 class Ethan Langham, the Golden Bears will be competitive in the NWOAL and when tournament time comes.
