With the 2016 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state.

Starting February 1st, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2016 Spring Team Preview: Clark Montessori Cougars

Team Name: Clark Montessori Cougars

Division: III
2015 Record: 12-11
Conference Record: MVC-Scarlet, 7-6
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 6/5

2016 Team Strengths:

• Leadership
• Work Ethic
• Baseball IQ
• Base running
• Starting Pitching

2016 Team Weaknesses:

• Depth will be young
• Competing against the elite pitchers in our league

Coach Outlook: "Coming off their first winning conference record in the MVC Scarlet, the Cougars should be able to compete in the MVC Scarlet again this season. We will go as far as our strong Junior class. Newcomers and freshman will play significant roles. Blending veterans and newcomers will be the keys to success. Senior Mark Secen (P/IF) along with Juniors Jackson Murphy (P/C), Trevor Theuerling (P/OF), Eric Prather (OF/1B), and Patrick Herbst (IF/C/OF/P) are on the verge of breakout seasons."

PBR Outlook: The Cougars look to build off their 2015 success and plan to do so with a nice core returning. After coming off the first winning conference record in the MVC Scarlet, I see the Cougars repeating a winning record and taking another step forward.
